An affordable alternative to a traditional four-year college education
If you have an applied associate's degree in a design-related field and are looking to take your skills to the next level, our Bachelor of Technology in Applied Design (BTAD) program offers the opportunity to earn a four-year degree and obtain management skills.
Accreditation On February 3, 2012, Lake Washington Institute of Technology was notified by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities that it had been granted accreditation at the baccalaureate level to include the Bachelor of Technology in Applied Design. The NWCCU noted the following as a result of the comprehensive evaluation visit in Fall 2011: "The Commission applauds the Institute for establishing a rigorous and viable Bachelor of Technology degree program in Applied Design which provides options for higher education for students in current careers and future opportunities."
Application Process The BTAD program has a rolling admissions process; visit the BTAD section of the Lake Washington Institute of Technology website for information on application deadlines.
Students who wish to take courses without being admitted to the program (non-matriculated) may be considered on a space-available basis.
